About This Chapter
In the second half of the first half, Natsume continues to talk trash about the Etsute players. He says that they're still cool and cool, even though they've lost the first game. He also says that he's glad that the crowd is still alive, because that's when they'll be able to get revenge on them. He compares the crowd to a "cucumber" , and says that it's just because a player is the "face of the team" . He then goes on to say that they don't have to explain why they lost, because the people in the crowd were the ones who played the game. They just need to get used to the idea that the players are the ones making the decisions. They've got to build a team mentality, he says, because they can't just rely on one player to make the decisions for them. They have to have everyone on the same page. They need to play like they do in the national team games, because if one player isn't good enough, everyone else will be. They can only do this because the coach has to decide who's good enough to be the team's star player. They should just keep playing like they always do, he adds.
