In this chapter, Tommo reflects on the incredible feat that Hirohito has accomplished. He compares it to putting together his "dream team" of ten boys and one girl. Tommo imagines that he is the captain of the team, and that Mizuki and Yonsuke are his "teammates" . He also imagines himself as a backup to Yonsuke and Mizuki in the event of a loss. He realizes that Yonsuke has lost his first game of the tournament, and he wishes he could go back and play with them.
