In this chapter, the swordsmen are to finish off men and live gods are to save men from death. In other words, if a man is killed, he will die, but if he is saved by a live god, his death will not be a death. The live god can still revive a man who has been killed, but he will have to carry out the mission himself. He tells the girl that she must step up her efforts because she will be more powerful than him in the future. The girl asks if she knows who she is, and the live god tells her that she may be able to do more than she can do now. He says that they are now in the "death realm," which is half of the "live god realm." The girl wonders if she can see anything in the distance, and he says that she can only see a huge waterfall because he is transferring some of his power to her through touch. The only way to get into the "waterfall of life," he says, is to become a living god. He explains that the first step in this process is to get baptized in the waterfall, but first he has to tell you that all of your memories of "death" will be erased after he becomes a god.
