In this chapter, the reader is introduced to Little Red Riding Hood, the heroine of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. She is a young girl who has been invited to a party at the home of her father, the King of Morocco. The story of her life is told from the point of view of her six siblings. The narrator explains that his six brothers are kind, gentle, and good at caring for others. He explains that the dwarfs have forbidden his sister to go to the mines because she is too young to work in them.
