He tells the nobleman that a rich man swept all the ingredients from the area, and that he'll have to prepare himself for rejection. He adds that he heard a candidate get injured last night, but luckily, someone nearby helped her so she wasn't seriously hurt. He begs the noblewoman to reconsider her decision, but she says that she'll take care of the candidates until the end, and then recruit some people to help her. He's worried that the noblemen will think that he favors them, too, and so he suggests that they slap him on the back and eat some food first.
