About This Chapter
The scenter, sol, is shocked to find that the chasang is talking about a woman. He tells her that the laws of the court are not difficult to follow and that she should listen carefully to the king's instructions. He warns her not to look down upon being called upon by the king. He then tells her to slap her hand if she does not keep her heart on the straight and narrow. He says that a woman is not allowed to meddle in the court and that this will shake up the foundations of the city. He asks the lords why they are afraid of a woman taking over the court. He explains that he has been enforcing the "breakdown of the aristocracy" and "talent search" and that anyone who is talented and capable of holding an office should be allowed to hold it.
