In this chapter, Johan explains that he had a dream from 7pm to 10pm, during which time he had several seances and fortune-telling appointments. He tells his boss that the spirit was listening to his dream and that it was a warning that he was about to become a human. He warns him that he would be a common ghost that belonged to neither the human nor the heavenly realms, and that he should forget his reincarnation. Johan says he would do anything for Johan, but he refuses to do so. He says that he is warning Johan of the dangers of his dream, not as his secretary, but as the former ghost of the grim reaper. He wants to know why he had such a dream, so that he can take precautions against it in the future. He explains that the only way he can reincarnate himself as a human is if he reincarnates as one himself. The patient who had the same dream last week is now in the same hospital. The doctor tells Johan that the patient needs additional medication.
