In this chapter, Lingzi tries to explain why she chose to break off her relationship with the older man. She admits that she misses her brother, but she also realizes that he is no longer her brother in law. Lingzi explains that they have been fighting over power ever since they were children, and that he held a party and took pictures of the drunk Lingzi flirting with another woman. He thinks that it is Lingzi who is behind all of this, and he decides to take revenge on him. He tells Lingzi that he will explain everything to the younger man, who will then be able to forgive him.
