In this short scene, Lan tells us that he can't bear the thought that his friend is trying to get to him. He's going to have to "wipe this memory out" of his mind. The two of them run into each other on the street, and he gives him his cell phone so he can call him back. Lan tells him that he's the only friend that he knows in the city that's taking a girl home, so he should let him sleep anywhere he likes. Lan reminds him that they're both in the same neighborhood, and that they can call the police if they feel like it. Lan says that he could call the cops, but he'd rather let the guy sleep on the sidewalk. He tells Lan that if he can bear it, he'll let him go. Lan thinks that Lan's doing a good deed by letting the guy go. He says that if Lan croaks at his door, he can be held responsible, but if he does the same thing, he won't have to pay any money.
