In this chapter, we learn that Shu-Xing's first love is Fang, and that Fang's father has poisoned him. We also learn that Fang has been working as a waiter at a fancy hotel. He is sick with a fever and wants to ask his supervisor for sick leave, but he is interrupted by the arrival of another waiter. The waiter tells Fang that he has seen the two of them together, and he is afraid that they are following someone. Fang tells him that he is torturing himself with the thought that he will kill the star. He tells her that she will not be able to run away after killing the star, because she will have to beat up the star long enough to soothe him. Fang says that she has never regretted her decision to protect the family.
