About This Chapter
In this short scene, the father and son discuss the merits of the red velvet cupcakes. The father asks his son if he would like a "ciki chitaro" . The boy says he would, and the father thanks him profusely for his generosity. He tells his son that he traded his "precious badge" for the cake and that the boy is whining for the prize. The mother gives the cake to her son in return for the badge, but the father blames himself for the loss of the badge. He says that he gave the badge to the boy because he did not need it, and that he would do anything for the boy. The son says he has seen the father trying to "mess with" him, and he has his eyes on him.
