About This Chapter
Now that he's made up his mind about the twins, he can't help but wonder why they don't look the same. They're twins, after all, and they've both had to have plastic surgery to keep their faces looking the way they are. He wants to make a statue of each of them, and he needs a skull model to help him do it. He asks his mom and dad if they'd like to drive him home, but they refuse, saying that they're "family" . He tells his mom that she's flattering him, and asks her to tell her parents about him. He's got another appointment, so he wants to see her right away. But first, he asks her if she wants to talk to him about her new friend, and she says that she doesn't care if he makes friends with "bad guys" like the ones who just want to hang out in bars. He says that they are "an unusual family" , and that they shouldn't make friends with people who are "just interested in bars," "drinking," "shopping" or "comparisons" because it's not their business. He invites her to come to his party next week, and then he'll invite one of her "good friends" to come too.
