Now that he's back at school, Lin is bummed out because he can't do anything. He's also bummed because he doesn't have a lot of friends. One of them, however, is his teacher, who's still hanging out with the other students. Lin's mom comes over and scolds him for spilling water on his shoes. She tells him that it's probably nail polish. Lin is horrified at the idea that someone could accidentally put nail polish in his bottle. He wants to know who put the nail polish into his bottle, and he wonders if he'll die from the complications of drinking nail polish
