The narrator tells us that the last dynasty of the chu emperors had many geniuses, heroes, and great wealth. However, a disease started to develop in the family, and the emperor had to admit that there were some things he couldn't recover. The emperor of the north wanted to establish a prosperous state in the north, but he realized that some of the things in the tomb could not be recovered. The narrator begs the old men to save the emperor. He tells them to boil the doctor's medicine and to get hot water for him. He says that he has made the emperor drink all of the medicine, and that he needs to apply some ointment to his hands. He has spent the night in the palace, and he has just heard that the old man has committed suicide. He decides to go to the palace and find out what happened.
