The narrator tells us that this is the first time he's ever seen a dog bite a human being. The narrator is worried because she's worried that the dog is going to bite her. She's also worried about the fact that her dog is a good boy, so she doesn't want him to be bullied. She wants to take him back to his mother's house, but she can't stand the thought of the dog biting her. So she tells him to get up and get out of the way. She tells him that she'll call the police if he does anything that's not right. She says that she just wants to act cute.
