One hour after the start of the chapter, the barber arrives at the d'Onofrio's house. The barber asks the butler how he found out that the man lived alone. The butler tells the barber that he didn't find out because the man had a six-year-old daughter and no one else was around to care for her. He says he'll do more digging to find out how they missed her, but he begs the butler not to make rash decisions, and he promises to figure out a way to get her back
