About This Chapter
This chapter opens with a description of the glasses sailor suit, which zhugong has brought with him. The narrator explains that this is not the first time that he has been abducted by aliens. He explains that he was abducted by an unidentified mysterious animal in the fifth grade. This time, however, the alien is wearing a sailor's suit, and the narrator is unable to communicate with the alien because of the barrier of language. He suggests that the alien leave the matter to the genius scientist, who can translate the alien's brainwaves into English. The scientist explains that his invention, the brain wave translator, can even translate the words of the alien into English, and that he will have to invent a new device to do so. The two men have met once before, in fifth grade, when the alien abducted the narrator while he was trying to complete his summer homework. The alien captured the narrator and held him captive for three days, during which time he was able to defeat the alien and capture his heart. This is the same alien who abducted him in the first chapter, and he explains that if the alien defeats him, he has to marry the alien. He argues that this alien has abandoned him for so long that he cannot rely on the glasses he has left behind. This alien, he says, should be able to choose who he wants to marry and who he does not want to marry, because the alien has no right to do this. He concludes that if he loses to the alien, then the alien will be taken to outer space.
