The second prince, Edwin, challenges the third prince, Lancelot, to a duel. Lancelot refuses, saying that he will fight the second prince on his own behalf. The crowd is against him, but he refuses to let it stop him. He says that the crowd is too high for him to fight. He tells Edwin that he is tired of substitutes, and that he wants to fight one on one with Lancelot.
