About This Chapter
In this short scene, the princess and her father are in a boat on the Yeosu River. The princess tells her father that she has just been in the boat for the first time. She tells him that when she visited the palace she found it difficult to enter because of the protection of cultural property. She also tells him she has not had tea with her husband since they got married. He tells her to go there and have some tea and talk together. He also tells her that she can see a tree right outside her window. She asks him if he is telling her to calm down while her son's future is bleak. He replies that it is because of her highness that she is able to climb to the top of the hill next to the prince. He adds that even after she marries into the royal family, she will always remember the benevolence of the queen. She then asks him why he cannot come to visit her father at the palace. He says that he cannot because it is raining. She exclaims that her emotions and feelings are also endless. She says that she welcomes the rain with joy. Her father says that everyone is in a panic over the drought and that the princess needs to be alone with her family. He reminds her that it has been hard for her and her son to be surrounded by so many people. He urges her to be at peace now that the prince is by her side.
