The next morning, Lee Young asks the Governess how she is doing. The Governess tells him that she is busy taking care of business and that she will go with him. She tells Lee Young that she has heard rumors that he has brought in a woman as his concubine and that the woman has opened her heart to him. Lee Young tells her that the rumor is true and that he was just bored as usual. The next day, someone comes looking for him and Lee Young says that he brought the officer he asked for and thanks him for the work. He is thankful that he did not contribute to the plan. He goes on to say that he had planned to reward everyone who had asked him to let them roam around. He thinks about what prize he would give to Lee Young and decides that it would be okay to send him like this. He worries that he will not be able to decide if the men leave or not and that it will be a crime to write on his forehead that he is in love with someone. He decides to protect himself until the end.
