About This Chapter
In this chapter, the narrator tells us that he's pretty sure that Sun Myunghe isn't the daughter of Yonjik. He's sure that her father, who's dying, wouldn't forgive anyone who threatened his job. The narrator also tells us about how his father tried to find his daughter but couldn't find her, so he sent a message to a friend in Korea to find her. He also learns that the detectives who arrested him were actually hired detectives, not stalkers. So, yeah, they're brothers, right? The narrator then tells us a little story about how he met his now-dead brother. He was working hard to earn his degree when he met her. She was always there for him, even when he wasn't around. Then one day, his brother died, and the narrator's father followed his father's footsteps. He died too, and his daughter got married to Yonjuk's friend, Sun Sukgyung, who worked for his company. So the narrator is shocked that his father would use his mother to have someone else beat his daughter.
