About This Chapter
In this chapter, the young narrator ponders the curse of Empress Myeong-Seong. He knows that the royal family has a secret document, but he doesn't know how to interpret it. If another secret document exists, the narrator has to figure out which one is the real deal. He wonders how he can recognize the real thing if he hasn't seen it before. Lee Joon, the head of the Lee Young National Culture Museum, looks at the sachet and wonders how it could possibly be the empress's. He also wonders if there is anything special about the sachet. Lee says that he has nothing to lose by looking at it. The narrator explains that he came to know the place when his father told him to find him when the time came.
