About This Chapter
The narrator and his lover watch the performance together. The narrator asks the lover if the couple is married, and the lover says that he doesn't know, but he thinks that they are very close. The lover thanks the narrator for sending him the flower, which he calls "mo ou's favorite flower" , and asks if the man is satisfied with the performance. The man replies that he is super satisfied, and that he loves him so much. He asks the narrator if he likes his song, but the narrator says that frowning up his song is a good thing, and everyone likes it too. He tells the lover that he will send flowers to him in the future, but that if he sends flowers to the narrator, he should send only "throatwort" . The flower is so beautiful that the narrator wants to throw it on the stage. The band members are all from the same university, but they are not the same age as the narrator's brother, who is not in the band. He says that the reason for this is that he has something to do, and he wants his brother to be the one who performs on stage.
