"Wo death" is the title of this chapter, which opens with a soliloquy about the evils of love. It's the first time we've heard the words "woo death" before, so we're not sure what to make of it. We're guessing that it's a reference to the fact that love is in short supply in the new city. We also learn that the city is in the middle of a huge earthquake, which means that there are no roads in the back of the city, and that the streets have turned into a "canyon" .
