In this chapter, we learn that the police have found the bodies of three people, and that the bodies were found in a trunk in the back of the car. We learn that this is the same body that was found in the woods a few weeks ago, and we also learn that it was the dog that was responsible for the house burning down. The two men talk about their pasts, and the conversation is interrupted by the arrival of a police officer. The police officer tells the two men that he and the sergeant are in the middle of a major investigation and that they need to get to the bottom of what happened at the house before the bodies are found. The men agree that it is a good idea for them to stay at the police station, where they will be safe. They also agree that they will find out where the girl is, and they agree that she is paying for the bag that contains the bodies. They decide to send a message to her, telling her not to come back to their house.
