About This Chapter
Hekar tells Nyx that he is overwhelmed with sadness because he makes his sorrow mine somehow. He tells him that stories are different from his own, and that at least Nyx loves him, too. He says that he has been stuck in this place because he wants to lord the moon, but he can keep his human body as a god. This means that he can still see the moon and touch her, even after absorbing all of his power. He asks why he cursed the moon hermits, and Nyx replies that he loves the world where that person lives just like he does. Hekar is so jealous of him, and asks why the god didn't tell him the truth about the moon-recluses. He admits that his love for the world has already passed away, as he has lost his love to the world of humans. He explains that he and the god fall in love, and they both hate humans. Nyx tells him to stay and help him start his new life as the god, and he says that half of the power of the moon will be enough for him to recover, and then he will remove the curse on him and set him free.
