In this chapter, we find out more about Nyx. She's a fierce, annoying girl, but she's also the one who's been protecting him since he met her. He doesn't realize how unfair it is that he's being persecuted by the moon hermits. He's not even aware that they've been watching him with his "reproach eye" . He didn't even realize that the hermits were going to turn him against them. They're going to get rid of the people who're blocking his path to happiness, and then he'll be theirs. They don't have to be villains, though, because they'll just do what's best for him.
