In this scene, we learn that Caius isn't dead yet. He's still alive, and he's not going anywhere. Caius tells his servant that he'll get him out of the city. He tells Caius to stay with him, and Caius begs him not to kill him. He says that he would never have killed Caius if he'd known that he was risking his life to save the common people. He also says that if he had tied him to his bed, he wouldn't have done what he did.
