He tells the audience that he was wounded in one of the battles, but that he has not destroyed the state of the ylyao and has not repaid the general and his men for all they have done to him. He asks the audience to imagine how he could have died in peace. The general tells him that the crown prince has asked him to take him away from the city and to bring him to the palace of the king.
