Bei-ming tells the monster that he can't regenerate because he has a gift for "eatinging gods" . He also tells him that he's been living for hundreds of years, so he'll help him find a shadow. The monster says that he probably has to destroy the body he found for his wife, but that's okay, because he is obedient to the monster. He says that they'll die together, and that they can integrate with each other. Bei ming says that the monster can have his body all to himself, even if he wants it to explode. He's not sure if he can stop the explosion, but he can still form the monster into the shape he wants. He doesn't want to say goodbye, but the monster has grown up, so they have to go. He asks if they can say goodbye one last time, and they do. He tells them that he forgot to take his wife out of the monster's sight. He thinks that he will be even more powerful next time.
