This chapter's epigraph comes from a famous line in Shakespeare's play Henry IV, Part I, Scene 1 : "I am the only true king / That b*tch's / It was a worthwhile death." This is a reference to the fact that Henry V was the first real king, and that he was born after the death of his father, Henry VI. The epigraph also refers to Henry VI's famous line, "My father was a born king," which is the epigraph for this chapter. This passage is important because it foreshadows the events that will take place in the next chapter.
