In this chapter, we get a glimpse of what it's like to be a human being in the Holodeck. The Holodeck is full of human beings, including the De Laceys, who are the most famous people in the world. They're all alive, but they're not as famous as they used to be. De Lacey tells his momo that if she doesn't want to live, then she's not going to be able to learn anything from her life. She's going to have to learn to live with the rest of the world's population, which is mostly dead and hungry.
