About This Chapter
In this short diary entry, the narrator laments the fact that he often falls asleep and wakes up in a new place. He is afraid that his mother will think that he is crazy, and that his new friend, Marya, will also think that the narrator is nuts. On the bright side, however, he is about to meet up with Adrian. He tells his friend, kuro, that he has never given his friends a reason to dislike him. He also tells him that they are all afraid of the unknown, and he wonders how they can allow themselves to be treated that way. He wonders why they let the three losers kick the stupid girl, and then he wonders where those darling girls went. He says that he does not see how Adrian deserved to be kicked, and now he knows that you are drunk, and toasts her. He asks the black sheep to stop trying to be a part of the crowd, and says that they will wake the neighbors, and blend into the crowd. He feels that he cannot be happy, because he wants to be happy with everyone else.
