About This Chapter
The fairy tells the king that he has captured the fairy who attacked all the towns. The king asks the fairy to tell the truth, but the fairy says that if he doesn't defend himself, he's going to be tried and punished. The fairy says it's nice to know that there are kings out there, too. He says that he used to think kings were just dirtbags, but now he thinks kings are people who shed tears over others. He also says that the cap and all of them have been saved. The cap'n, he says, has become a "somewhat fine king" . It's not bad to be a king, too, if you're willing to put on some clothes first. The wizard says that chandler has been defeated, but that the crest isn't dead yet. The seven dead sins are still incomplete, the wizard says. They should've surrendered themselves to chandler and let him kill them. The witch says that she's heard that the wizard is still alive, and that he'll show himself to be an old geezer. She tells the prince to get over it quickly. He's on the brink of death, she says, and he should get out of the way. The prince says he wants to protect the fairy kingdom, the forest, and the fairy friends. He wants to act like a king.
