The jugger-naut asks why he's in the line of fire, and the answer is that he can't kill the pillar because it's shinra's job to save it. He's so weak that if he leaves, shinra will die. He says that he'll lose his job if he doesn't stop rescuing shinra, and that's just not worth his life. He also says that the pillar is plugged with magma from an undersea volcano, and if he destroys it, it will cause the volcano to spew out more magma, which will make it even more dangerous. He tells the jugger that he won't be able to fight him, because the bullet didn't hit him in the face. He adds that they're going to take him into custody anyway, because he was the one who got shinra to safety first.
