About This Chapter
Benimaru asks how he came up with his theories on spontaneous combustion. He says that he cannot settle for "some vague concept revealed / by acto / answer can pit only the real truth". He wants to know what is going on in the world. He asks if he has forgotten about the special fire cathedral. He wonders why he cannot go public with his theory. He is afraid that it will lead to chaos in the future. He wants justice to be the only thing that he can trust. If justice is a vague concept, he says, then he cannot trust it. Justice is the answer, he asks, but it is not the answer that he is looking for. He feels that justice is the one thing in the whole world that he trusts. He tells the monk that he has come because he is suspicious of him. The monk tells him that if he tries anything funny, he can just take him out. He adds that he will not push him yet because he does not want to give a damn. He knows that the empire is trying to get him, but he is determined to do the right thing. He believes that truth is the only brand of justice, equal to the true scriptures. He praises the monk for his holiness and says that in the past, the world used to be a place of many religions. But now it is under attack from the sun god. He cannot believe that he really did it
