The art was good, and there’s some interesting concepts, but it feels a bit lackluster. The chemistry between the two characters isn’t really there in the story naturally and needed to be told, and the brief moment it is shown is in the last bonus chapter and it feels too late. Also (*could be a spoiler so don’t read*) the knight says he will be a sex slave and serve the puppeteer’s needs (which are seemingly zero, but the guy seems to humor him), but then all the times there’s sex (until the end when they come together) he says it’s against his will and he doesn’t want it and doesn’t like and thus is rape, so even at the end it feels a bit like he was just broken and has Stockholm syndrome or something. And none of it quite makes sense to me anyway, since he saw his mother’s beautiful soul deteriorate in the doll and yet he wants to put another, and doesn’t understand at all that feeling, experiencing, and such is what makes life, and without it the soul will die? But it could have been awesome, with seeing souls, and warrior dolls, and magic and wizards, and yet … kind of flat and expected. The best thing about this was the art.

The art is really good. The story feels drained out and freshly squeezed at times. Like you know what to expect so it's not that exciting.
