The first person introduced is Peter Parkman, who tells us that he is "covered in so much doritos" and that he has eaten "two o points" . He tells his friend, ruth, that he found his necklace but that the diamonds have gone. He asks ruth if she would mind turning out her pockets while he waits for her parents, but she refuses, saying that she and her friend did not tell anyone about the incident. Peter then tells ruth that they need to go to the dance teacher, Mr. Templar, and tell him what has happened. . They go to tell him that Mimi has the perfect necklace, but that they have to go because they have diamonos , which is a substance that is used to make diastereos .
