The chapter opens with a conversation between Hamada and the club's prez. The prez tells Hamada that his friend, Aizuma, has not been with him today. Hamada tells the prez that he is sure that he will be famous in the future because he is "wife material" . He tells the club that he has been waiting up all night to see Azuma, and that he hopes they can get there early so that he can catch up with her. The club prez says that he cannot wait to tell him that Hamada is a wife material, since he is not short like Hamada. He also says that the class next door is Hamada's class, and he hopes that they will be able to catch up soon. The two men discuss their plans for the day, and Hamada complains that he still cannot get over his crush. He says he has to go to school, has homework to do, and has to stay up late to drop off things. He asks Hamada if he knows when to quit, since girls do not like "stubborn guys," but Hamada says that once he graduates, he will not be a stubborn guy. He confesses that he had the idea that he was around all the "ridious women" in his family, and now he feels like he is headed in the wrong direction.
