In this chapter, we learn that the town of Nemo has been destroyed by the forces of Goemon. Nemo's son, ten-year-old Enoshima, has managed to get into the castle by using a kite as an improvised explosive device. Enoshima tells his father that he is the son of a feudal lord and that he will never die until he has fulfilled his promise to the lord. He also tells him that he has made up his mind to take over the town and that there is no one left in it.
