About This Chapter
In this chapter, we learn that the protagonist awoke in the moon's lunar tower one day, and that he came down to Earth to seek enlightenment. He tells us that if there weren't any missionaries on the ground, he would join him on his quest to find out what makes humans happy. He says that if he were pitted against the enemy, he wouldn't have a chance. Now, he says, he's just trying to see what makes people happy. That's why he came to Earth, he tells us. He's not a missionary, he just wants to know how humans are happy. The protagonist says that the lunar people's religion is a murder cult, because it's based on the idea that humans should kill one another in order to get to heaven. He wants the people of the moon to stop killing each other. He doesn't want them to kill him, he wants them to be happy, and he wants the world to stop being a place where people kill each other for the sake of getting there.
