The narrator tells us that his only salvation came from his strict father, who "did everything brother" and "so much better than" him. He was also the only one who was willing to give up his "toy" of a "lens" , which he had been given as a gift by his father. The narrator says that he had no choice but to give it up. He tells us how he refused to go to visit an old man in the hospital and how he was caught by a photo police officer. He says that the police officer had no clue that he was taking pictures and that the pictures were all on his phone. He adds that he would like to have a photo-raphy camp at his summer home.
