About This Chapter
The narrator tells us that he never thought he'd be found out, but he's glad to hear that it's not as bad as he thought it would be. He's in the middle of a cooking session with Chisa when he hears that they're having a dinner party at their place. The narrator asks Chisa if he thinks the two of them are having an affair, and Chisa says that he does, but that he doesn't want to make it official yet. Chisa tells him to just do what he wants, and the narrator says he meant it when he said that he had a "wrong idea" , and that he'll kill him if he wants to. He tells the three of them to listen to him, and they all agree that the dinner party is a "dilemma," meaning that they don't approve of the dish. He says that if he were to eat the dish at the party, he would have to eat it anyway, because he hates the dish, which is a dish that's supposed to be easy to digest. He then tells the narrator that if she were to try eating the dish and not like it, she would be the perfect companion for him, because she's a homely girl with a lot of makeup. He asks her if she'd give it a chance, and she says that she would. He sighs, and he asks her to take the reins of the conversation, so that he can pick Chisa's brain for him
