About This Chapter
The Governess tells her lover that she can't help him because he's too weak. She begs him to help her, but he refuses, saying that he has too much to lose. He tells her that he'll kill the Governess if she tells him what to do. He says that he can see through her "shitty bluff" and knows that she's hiding something. He asks her to hold on a bit longer, because he has a secret that's even more powerful than hers: he has to keep a secret code. He's going to live by that code, he says, and no one will ever attack her again. He thanks his father for protecting him, and says that before he forgets about it, he wants to tell her that she never asked him to do it, and that he never asked her to protect him at school, but at the school where he'd been going crazy and crazier. He wants her to stop saying anything, and to tell him what he should do: kill her.
