At the park, Hiroyuki's parents tell him that if he doesn't work hard, he's going to have a hard life. Hiroyuki wants to play with the giant bear-dog that's following them. He's worried that the dog is going to attack them, but he'll have to calm down and let it go. Okay, so maybe it's just a bear, but Hiroyuki is worried that it might be a big, scary dog. He wants to ride it, but the dog won't let him. He tells Hiroyuki to stop, and Hiroyuki tells him that he can't be a grown-up if he just surrenders to the giant dog. That way, he says, he can keep his dreams, and not give up on them. The giant dog starts to attack again, so Hiroyuki stops trying to ride the dog, and he gives Hiroyuki candy for it. He says, "What kind of simple minded grown up are you?" Hiroyuki thinks that this is proof of his surrender, and that he should ask someone to adopt him.
