About This Chapter
In the second semester, the narrator sneaks into the school again. He's at peace with himself. He wishes he could live forever, but his body is "the loveliest thing in the world" . The narrator is interrupted by the head monitor, which continues to track her movements. The head monitor continues to monitor the narrator's movements, and the narrator feels "at peace" when he's near the head of akutsu-kun. He feels that he has no reason to "stalk" him, since they went somewhere "quietly" to make sure that he didn't "breache propriety." The narrator doesn't know what to make of this, but he does know that if he were "stalking someone," he would be a "deviant" and that would make him a bad influence on others. He tells the narrator to listen to what she has to say, because he knows how she's always "out of control" and "doing weird stuff." She tells him that she'd like to give him some advice, but she can't figure out why he is doing this. She says that she thinks he should be more "serious and calm" around akikun-san, since he always looks mean and "a total sadist" , and she says that maybe he would do better if he "were more serious and calmed around akuku-san . But all those things totally hooked me," she says. She also says that if she were a "disreputable maniac," she wouldn't be able to handle the truth, and that she would be right on the verge of falling for him.
