The next morning, Mina tries to convince Sivert that he is serious about going to the university inkyoto. Sivert says that he has read all of the books by Magua, and that this one is more "impor tant" than the other. Mina says that Magua is the one who got him into the university, and she admires his writing. She says that she wants to support him, but feels that she is too formal to say she is going after Mina. Magua says that once he gets revenge, he will return the book to Mina.
