About This Chapter
The scene opens with the sound of bears dancing in the distance. It's the famous "Moja moja" suite, which the narrator compares to a rainbow. The narrator tells us that the music has been pushed back to October, which means that his students will have to stay at his old school instead of going to his new school. The music teacher at the new school has ordered the students to read three songs and choose three pieces to play in their next lesson. Sounds like a great idea, right? The narrator then tells us about the piano competition that's coming up in the fall. He's not going to play for the students because he's entered the competition himself. He also tells us he wants to get some eels for his son, who almost drowned in a bath the night before. He says he'll get the eels if he can. The violin finals are coming up, and the narrator is psyched about coming in second place in the competition.
