About This Chapter
Hirokazu and Hinata talk about the upcoming grand opening of the inn. Hinata says that she'll be happy to hire her and her friends, but she's not happy about the fact that they're all dressed up for the occasion. She's worried that they won't be able to take care of the business since they've all been dressed up in fancy costumes. She tells them that they can do whatever they want with the business, but they'll have to work extra hard to make sure that everything runs smoothly. She doesn't want to waste her time scrubbing a bath, though, because it's a Sunday. She thinks that if she spends the day scrubbing, then she'd be better off doing it while listening to the races. But then she realizes that she can't, because she still has to bet against her friends in the gambling hall. If she loses, the inns will be turned into a girls' dormitory, she thinks. She also thinks that the girls' rooms were burned and that they were all trash. She wonders if she should worry about her friend, motoko, who's back from a trip. She apologizes for skipping out, but then she promises to hire them again.
