About This Chapter
Captain Balthazar and his daughter are on their way to meet up with the duke and his wife, and they are interrupted by the arrival of Wilson, who has come to see them. Wilson is upset that he has not been able to see his daughter, whom he has taken to be his wife's daughter. He is also upset that Wilson has been unable to visit his daughter. Wilson tries to calm him down, telling him that he should not worry about his daughter's safety, as she is his only concern. He also tells Wilson that the duke is a Catholic, and that he is a victim of piracy. Wilson, however, does not understand why Wilson would want to leave his daughter and son-in-law, and he tells Wilson to calm down.
